I am pleased to endorse Ross Allan’s Training Notes. I have read the inspection copy from cover to cover and feel this is a very worthwhile instructional guide  and recommend it to any dog owner.

Ross was influenced by the original Royal Australian Air Force Dog Training system but, through long experience, he has grown from this towards his own unique perspective on the dog-owner relationship.  This perspective informs his current training procedures.
Some of these training procedures are completely original and won’t be found in other publications on dog training. I expect that some of these ideas will spread to other trainers, as they discover, and confirm, for themselves that his ideas work.
In addition, I liked his going-through list of problems that arise when teaching the Heeling, Stand, Sit, Drop, Stay and Recall exercises and his ideas for over-coming those problems.  Only someone with a long history of experience in his subject matter could present such details.

I encourage Ross to follow these notes with further notes that cover those ‘exercises’ that are eventually needed if one progresses further in obedience training.
